My mother’s experience of life has changed dramatically since we came across Michelle and her team at Wild Orchid via Alberta Health. It’s honestly made the biggest difference to her life that I’ve seen in the last two or three years. Mum is now socialising and having a lot more fun. It also gives my father some much needed respite from being her main carer.
Personally, this could be a difficult journey as I’m the only offspring. I feel supported and buoyed up by Michelle and her team and the idea that I’m not tackling this all on my own is profoundly uplifting. They consider new ideas with me and with their experience, I feel I’m able to make the right recommendations to dad about Mum’s care.
