In Their Own Words
The heart of Wild Orchid is best told by the people who know us. Here you’ll find stories from the families we’ve cared for and the caregivers who have been part of our team. Whether they welcomed us into their homes or worked alongside us, we’re grateful for every kind word and honoured to have shared the journey.

I really enjoyed my time working for the Wild Orchid Home Care while I was living in Cochrane. I was there for just about a year, and during that time I met some lovely people and had some really rewarding experiences. I always felt supported by Michelle, and I appreciated how much care and compassion was shown not only towards the clients but also towards the staff.
Leaving was a difficult decision, as I would have happily stayed longer, but my family and I ultimately decided to move back to the UK. I'm very grateful for the time I spent with Wild Orchid Home Care, and for everything I learned and experienced while I was there. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and supportive place to work.

I have recently retired for the second time(!), after working for a year as a registered nurse for Wild Orchid HomeCare. And what an enjoyable year it was - being able to care for different clients in their own homes. From Meet&Greets to being matched up with all sorts of different people, I was able to establish important relationships with clients - and often with their family members as well. Palliative care, respite care, companionship, occasionally just a one-off consultation… Wild Orchid’s founder Michelle does her best to fill the needs of community members. It was definitely satisfying work, sometimes getting back to the very basics of nursing, which I’ve always loved. I think Michelle’s personalized approach to home care is so valuable an approach to take and I wish Wild Orchid continued success. It was a wonderful company to work for.
